I just had to share this awesome thing we got from Aldi this week because I know for certain of at least one other person that loves both Thai food and Aldi as much as we do.
It's this. The chicken and sauce come already cooked in the packet and you just heat it up. I added zucchini to ours as it simmered to heat. Made some rice and sprinkled cilantro on top. If you added another vegetable (peas or potatoes?) and served it with naan it could absolutely serve 4 for dinner. And it cost about $5!
Next post: our friend got married this weekend and the oldest was a ring bearer. We all took another long walk this morning. It's been a good weekend.
At least one somebody just added this to her Aldi's shopping list. Thanks for the tip.
ReplyDeleteI had this and added mushrooms and zucchini. This is restaurant approved. The taste was perfect, not spicy and very flavorful. Bring more Aldi's!
ReplyDeleteThis stuff is amazing! I had been eyeing it at Aldi for a year or so now, but usually went with one of the others they sell. After 3 min in the microwave I realized it was 1 huge chunk of meat. I had a bag of Uncle Ben's microwavable spanish rice and thought the chicken would be great over it. I pulled the chicken apart with 2 forks into about 25 chunks and put it over the spanish rice in bowls with the remainder of the thai sauce and split it with my young son who loves meat & rice and trying new interesting foods. We both loved it. If I was given the same exact bowl at a restaurant I would of loved it just as much. I will be buying many more packages of this amazing chicken. If you haven't tried the pork carnitas one they sell it is great as well over rice or in wraps, pitas, etc....
