Book sale

Our little local library is having its annual book sale right now. It's the most exciting event of the fall for me.  Books, cookies and a date with one of my dearest friends. There are thousands of books to look through and always some fun finds.

This is the big winner; I bought this copy because of the beautiful illustrations. It's actually a first edition in great condition.  So it's most likely going to be sold for Christmas cash. With two little ones it's pointless trying to keep nice things around here. Someone would have spit up or drawn on it with crayons  eventually.

Look at these vintage Golden Books!

More books for the kids. The oldest LOVES reading and we read most of these the first night. Today we've read about 10 stories so far.

More sweet vintage copies.

Field guides. This is great because the oldest and I used our Insect Guide so often this summer that it fell apart.

Some reading for my husband and I.

I love this magazine and picked up some old issues. I'm really excited to try some of the pasta recipes and an apple strudel.

There are so many books donated that it's hard to look at even a small part of them. I think we'll go back tonight and look for more fun reading.
