It wasn't a hatchery mix-up was it?Cottontailfarmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06603586688895863727noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2053737370919207454.post-57715822122388468312017-08-19T21:46:28.243-04:002017-08-19T21:46:28.243-04:00I have one of those hoping hard stories too. Until my daughter pointed out the white earlobes. Brown Leghorns. With boring white eggs. I was soooo disappointed!! lolAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2053737370919207454.post-82438636681623343162017-08-19T11:59:08.651-04:002017-08-19T11:59:08.651-04:00Hi! It's interesting to read about the supposed medicinal benefits of silkies, apparently they are good for just about everything.
I agree with you on the Easter Eggers. Guess I was just really hoping hard. I think it is their time.

Anyway, I have easter eggers, and none of your pictures are easter egger babies. EE's have little puffs of feathers on either side of their beak, and a beard. The beard grows in later, but the puffs are there are soon as they come out of the egg.

It is always fun to see what you are going to get out of that little cutie, isn't it?
