Fooled me

We have these two big old iron pots full of sedum out by the driveway. Both of the pots are ancient and rusted, one being part of an old stove we found out back and the other being a kettle from my great-grandparents house down south.  They basically serve to try to hide 2 old stumps and so we don't hit them with the lawnmower.   All sorts of things make homes under and around these pots, mostly toads.

Today I came around the car and stopped short when I almost stepped on this:

HOW DID ALL THESE EGGS GET HERE?!
I was so confused for a second.

Well no, they aren't actually eggs but puffball. Lots and lots of egg-sized puffballs.

Here is another puffball. Bee trying to imitate that tomato. Or just sleeping.

  1. It's the time of year when cats curl up most of the day, Purdy sleeps in her basket all snug and warm, Grace waits until I sit down and then she is a lap cat.

    1. It would be nice to get half as much rest as the cats get.
